Laurie carries a deep, soulful enchantment to all of her songs that has won her a number of South African Music Award nominations, as well as attracted a host of monoliths in the music industry, to compliment her creations. Her voice holds the subtlety and flexibility that can disarm even the critical listener as she channels some kind of melancholic tone and causes it to blossom into a variety of colourful story-songs rapt with powerful emotions.
Since her first album, Unspoken, where it was just her, her fav guitar, and good mates like Jim Neversink, she has consistently multiplied her talent, producing her second album, Living Room, to critical acclaim, and attracted fine producers like Dan Roberts, and accumulating up to 14 well known artists, all contributing to the tracks of her latest album, Six Winters.
