Sara Jackson

I picked up the guitar for the first time when I was 13, and have been playing, practicing and composing ever since. My first CD was recorded when I was 18, at Dogears Recording Studio, Pinetown, S.A. We recorded 7 early originals of mine in under 10 hours, all of which carry the folky, acoustic sounds of rhythm, bass and lead guitar; djembe drums and an interesting mix of percussion instruments; and of course my vocals. I now have close to 20 finished original songs, which have, over the years, matured lyrically, conceptually and in performance and technique. I am working towards recording my 2nd album, either locally or in Sweden. Having traveled, I have personally distributed my CD in Sweden, London and some in USA and New Zealand as well. It has always been tricky for me to label my music and put it into a genre, but I will try Universal Acoustic Rock
