The first time the Meditators played at Luna Lounge, about 35 people came to their gig and still they played for 5 (five) hours straight, everyone danced forever and the bar became an honesty bar, as the staff joined into the skankin crowd. Even the restaurant kitchen was promoted to a level of communal kitchen as what started as a music gig, turned into a family gathering, connecting people like a 5 hour dance session would.
There is no end to the power of Jah, and these guys are powered by the real thing – real, original, and some of the most authentic reggae sounds you’ll find coming out of South Africa, from the most irie city in the country – Durban! If you buy one of their albums and listen, you’ll find it engineered beautifully as the band is overly pedantic about their sound, which is always a good thing.
